The Toronto Star is reporting that six months after the explosion on Hickory Drive in Mississauga dozens of residents are still unable to return to their homes.
The following statement was released today by Mayor Crombie:
“There are currently 33 homes still not occupied.
“The Hickory Drive incident remains a police investigation. The Fire Marshall and Peel Regional Police would need to comment on the details of the investigation.
“The team of professionals from the City of Mississauga remain engaged with those families impacted.
“I want to acknowledge the committed first responders, and our local charitable groups and faith communities, who continue to work throughout this Christmas and holiday season to help those impacted families in need of care and support.”
