The Art Gallery of Mississauga has appointed Terry Jenkins-Bricel as Interim Executive Director. Terry has assumed her duties and will remain in this role until the AGM’s current Executive Director / Curator Mandy Salter returns from personal leave.
With a multi-disciplinary background of creative sector experience enhanced by extensive business expertise, Terry brings a valuable blend of arts sector insight and leadership to the AGM. She has a Masters in Contemporary Art Histories from OCAD University and has provided development expertise for non-profit arts organizations. Terry has been on the Gallery’s Board of Directors for two terms: 2009-2012 and 2015-2017. Her past experience includes leadership roles in the design field including Director of Development. Terry will be collaborating with partners, supporters and stakeholders to continue AGM’s momentum, building on past successes and promoting excellence into the future.
AGM Board Chair Stan Zigelstein welcomed the Interim Executive Director to the gallery:
“With Terry’s prior experience on the AGM Board and past art / design practice in the non-profit sector, she is the perfect individual to stand in for Mandy Salter, our Director, while Mandy recuperates.”
Terry expressed her gratitude upon the appointment as Interim Executive Director:

I look forward to providing leadership for the gallery and supporting the remarkable work done through its exhibitions, extensive programming and community outreach initiatives.
