VAM INVITES ARTISTS 60+ TO PARTICIPATE IN “THIRD CHAPTER” EXHIBITION

Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) at Riverwood is pleased to showcase artists aged 60+ from across the Greater Toronto/Hamilton in its fourth annual exhibition, Third Chapter: Celebrating Lifelong LearningBack by popular demand, the exhibition celebrates the benefits of engaging in the arts in the latter part of one’s life (what is commonly referred to as the ‘Third Chapter’). 
Third Chapter will run from February 19 to 24, 2019 at The VAM Gallery located at 4170 Riverwood Park Lane in Mississauga. Artists aged 60 and up are welcome to submit their works for consideration. Submissions are due Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Click here for submission details
“We’re not getting older, we’re getting better,” explains VAM Executive Director Annis Karpenko. “As our Third Chapter exhibition shows, we are also getting more creative! There is no time like the present to start a creative life. The artists exhibiting in our Third Chaptershow remind us of the fun we can all have discovering new ways to express ourselves to the world.”  In conjunction with the exhibition, VAM will host an Artist Talk, Journey through Abstraction featuring artist Gwen Tooth on February 24, 2019 at 2 pm. Admission is free.
