Steelheads complete trade with Ottawa 67’s

The Mississauga Steelheads announced today that the hockey club has traded forward Adam Varga to the Ottawa 67’s in exchange for a 6th round pick in 2020.

Varga, 18, played in 63 games for the Steelheads during the 2018-19 regular season recording 15 points (6G,9A) and has one assist through 14 games with the hockey club this season. In 123 career OHL games, the Bel Air, MD native has registered 23 points (7G,16A). Varga has also appeared in 8 playoff games registering his first career playoff goal on March 26th, 2018 against Barrie.

Varga was originally selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the seventh round (121st overall) of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
