About My Missy Blog

WELCOME to my mississauga magazine, Mississauga’s very own arts & entertainment, food & drink, lifestyle and sports magazine.

Not simply half-horse and half-donkey…our Mule’s also an acronym: Mississauga’s Ultimate List of Events. And while we won’t dare you to find a more comprehensive listing of goings on around ‘Sauga, we really do pride ourselves on stacking it high. Alright, we dare you.<

There’s a new Mule in town..

Mississauga and it’s burghs (Port Credit, Streetsville, Clarkson, etc.) have long been bastions of live (and usually Indie) music. Venues such as Cuchulainn’s and Roc ‘N’ Doc’s have long hosted a wide variety of live music. New venues have been popping up all around town. Mississauga is no slouch when it comes to nightlife.

And every year the Southside Shuffle and Mississauga Waterfront Festival bring world class headliners to town.

The same can certainly be said for stage performances. From community theatre to the professional performances offered up by the likes of the Living Arts Centre, Stage West and Yuk Yuk’s this is a town with a variety of entertainment options.

The variety of dining options has also grown exponentially over the years. It used to be that you had to choose between a burger or a white linen table cloth. Not today. Cafes, bistros and the like are sprouting up all around the city and the variety is no less than you would find in T.O.

In Mississauga you can shop until you drop from the “exclusive” to the warehouse. And for the visitor to Mississauga there is an amazing selection of accommodations to choose from.

Last but not least, the list of sporting venues and events seems to increase every day. From the local arena to the Hershey Centre, from the MHL and MGHL all the way up to the Chargers, Majors and Twins…there’s no shortage of sports for participant and spectator alike.

Mississauga has come a long way since ’74 and we offer up My Mississauga Magazine as an attempt to list the many things to see and do around town.

We hope you enjoy the format and will always welcome your comments and suggestions.
