Authentic Farmers’ Market officially in Mississauga

The Farmers’ Market of Eden is pleased to announce that it has officially received membership into the Farmers’ Markets of Ontario association – the only market in Mississauga to receive this membership.

The Farmers’ Market of Eden, run by Eden Food for Change, takes place every Sunday at the Lisgar GO station from 9 am – 3 pm until Thanksgiving: Sunday, October 9, 2016. The majority of The Farmer’ Market of Eden’s vendors are farmers, a key membership requirement for the Farmers’ Markets of Ontario Association (FMO).

“Farmers’ Markets Ontario is the provincial association of farmers’ markets and welcome Farmers’ Market of Eden as a member.  Abundance and freshness of products is the key to a successful farmers’ market,” says Catherine Clark, Membership, Outreach & MyPick® Manager.

About 1000 people attend the Farmers’ Market of Eden to buy their weekly groceries directly from farmers who sell vegetables, honey, mushrooms, fruits and even pastries, cheese and meat.

For the month of August, patrons of the market will also get to enjoy local talent as Buskers from the City of Mississauga’s Buskers Pilot Project will be performing from 11 am – 2 pm weekly. Continue reading Authentic Farmers’ Market officially in Mississauga
