MISSISSAUGA: The students of Liberty Junction Theatre Company Inc. are preparing to take the stage at the Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga, where they will be performing Seussical Jr., while raising funds for orphans in Haiti.

Liberty Junction will be donating concession & flower proceeds from the production to the Chricha Orphanage, in Port-au-Prince that is caring for 53 children who were affected by the earthquake, where Liberty Junction's Creative Director has visited.

The musical features a total of 50 performers, ages 6 - 16, performing the company's eleventh "teaching" production in three years.

There will be four performances of this production:
Opening night is Friday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 3, at 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
Closing night is Saturday, December 4, 2:00 p.m. SOLD OUT

Tickets cost $14 for children under the age of 16 and $18 for adults. Tickets can be ordered online at www.libertyjunctiontheatre.com or purchased at the door. Tickets are 90% sold out.

Seussical Jr. Is an imaginative musical inspired by the stories of Dr. Seuss. Horton the Elephant finds himself faced with a double challenge- not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and the invisible Whos) from a world of danger, but he must guard an abandoned egg. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant, in a story that makes you laugh and cry.
