Peel board students take the stage at 66th Sears Ontario Drama Festival

Students from five Peel District School Board secondary schools will perform at the Central Regional Showcase from April 18 to 21 as part of the 66th annual Sears Ontario Drama Festival. This showcase highlights a total of 11 outstanding productions from across Peel region which will take place at the Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga.
"In addition to helping build community and promoting drama and the arts the festival provides students with great leadership opportunities," says Kelly Dever, instructional coordinator for the Arts and Physical Education at the Peel board. "Our students have worked very hard and we hope the Peel community will come out to show their support."
The following Peel secondary schools will be performing:
- Mayfield Secondary School students will perform on April 18, presenting Tuna Fish Eulogy.
- Clarkson Secondary School students will perform on April 19, presenting Think then Speak.
- Applewood Heights and Cawthra Park Secondary School students will perform on April 20, presenting Fragments and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, respectively.
- Meadowvale Secondary School students will present It's a Wonderfully Wrong World on April 21.
The shows begin at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are $16 for adults, $12 for students and $10 for the secondary school group rate of 10 or more people.
