Michael Koch, CEO of Entertainment One US, felt particularly good about having the artist join his team. Said Koch of the deal: "eOne Music is extremely proud Matthew Good has chosen to work with us for his next worldwide release. This deal will strengthen his already-successful Canadian market and move forward to focus on others. Canadian audiences have always appreciated the quality in Matthew's music and vision, and today we're happy to share that with the rest of the globe. Matthew's popularity and initiatives remain strong, as do the opportunities for growth. The eOne Music team is ready to build on his success."
Likewise, Albert Zgarka, President of FrostByte Media, is no stranger to his company's most recent roster gain and fully endorses him saying, "We've been long-time fans of Matthew Good since his first album, Last of the Ghetto Astronauts, and it's an honour to be working with him. He's one of the most brilliant and authentic artists Canada has ever produced, and I have no doubt his next release will be a tremendous recording."
Over his almost two-decade career, Good has always chosen to do things differently and those decisions have only served to reaffirm his place as one of Canada's most relevant artists, always inspired by new influences yet remaining inherently recognizable. He always manages to create an exciting and meaningful record.
From the Matthew Good Band to Hospital Music, to the 2011 JUNO winning release Vancouver, he continually pushes forward into uncharted territory; mapping new musical landscapes most recently showcased on his stark and passionate 2011 release, Lights Of Endangered Species, through Universal Music Canada. Matthew Good's substantial and ever-growing fan base outside of Canada has contributed to sales of over one million records worldwide.
Matthew Good is a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, an advocate for the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Rideau Institute's Ceasefire Initiative, a supporter of Amnesty International, and contributes to The Guardian's "Comment Is Free."
‘I'm thrilled to be part of the eOne/Frostbyte family. I look forward to continue making music and touring for many years to come.' - Matthew Good
