You Only Turn 150 Once – Celebrate this Canada Day in Style

It’s not just another Canada Day and the event on Mississauga Celebration Square isn’t just any event.

This year, the Square’s free Canada Day festivities, inspired by Canada’s 150th Anniversary, focuses on celebrating what connects us as Canadians. From food and music to art and heritage, residents and visitors are invited to be a part of the experience that brings us all together.

Join Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council as they kick-off Canada Day with a special Canada 150 Parade of Nations presented by Carassauga. This is followed by an Official Ceremony which includes a reaffirmation oath which allows attendees the opportunity to re-confirm their Canadian Citizenship.

Later on, join internationally-renowned JUNO Award winner K’NAAN on the main stage while he performs his hit Wavin’ Flag and many others.

Fun, Food and Fireworks – Canada Day at Mississauga Celebration Square

Celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday on Friday July 1 from 2 to 10:30 p.m. at Mississauga Celebration Square with amazing artists and 100,000 friends. The event is headlined by multi award-winning Canadian performers The Strumbellas, folk-pop songstress Ria Mae and features a spectacular fireworks show to end the night.

Join Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council to celebrate Canada Day at the Square’s biggest event of the yearpresented by Tim Hortons.

ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey and Global News Toronto’s Farah Nasser, Alan Carter and Liem Vuwill host the free event which includes family-friendly entertainment all day long.
