Erin Mills Town Centre is pleased to participate in the 25th Annual Sports Week Celebrations in Mississauga. Community residents are invited to discover a variety of sporting and healthy lifestyle activities at Erin Mills Town Centre at its ‘Spring into Action’ Sports and Camp Show. Engaging displays and activities will take place on Saturday, February 24th, 2018, from 10am to 5pm, located on the lower level of the shopping centre.
“The Sports & Camps Show is all part of Erin Mills Town Centre’s ongoing commitment to encourage the community to get active, enjoy life and live healthier,” states Francesca Bourré, Erin Mills Town Centre’s Marketing Director. “We’re really looking forward to meeting people from the community and helping them find ways to participate in all the great programs available to them in Mississauga.”
A healthy lifestyle begins with regular physical activity, and Erin Mills Town Centre looks forward to bringing both children and adults from the area together to discover the array of health-focused (and fun!) local community programming.
Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions from knowledgeable experts and sign up for sports programs, while enjoying exciting displays, demonstrations, fun interactive activities, a photo booth and a chance to win great prizes.
In addition to discovering Mississauga’s range of sports programs and activities, guests can also look forward to meeting with local Olympians and Mississauga Sports Hall of Famers who will be on site.
For the next year the new infinity fountain at Erin Mills Town Centre is taking wishes – for Eden Food for Change.
Lots of people, especially children, like to toss coins into a fountain and make a wish. It’s a fun thing for people to do. Now those wishes will actually have a multiplying effect as Eden Food for Change (EFFC) has been selected as the designated charity for all the coins tossed into the fountain for the next year.
With people throwing coins of varying donations, they do add up to have a greater impact. Since June, EFFC has already received $259. This is impactful because when the organization receives financial donations they can buy the food that is needed such as healthy fresh food like eggs, milk and fruits and vegetables. Also, when they have to purchase non-perishable items they can stretch that dollar.
Currently EFFC can distribute $50 of food for every $10 the receive in financial donations. Continue reading Make a wish – Grant a Wish at Erin Mills Town Centre
