Do you drive, walk or cycle in Downtown Mississauga? Your input can guide future transportation projects in this area of the city by visiting our on-demand virtual open house for the newly launched Downtown Movement Plan. The best part is it can all be done from the comfort of your own home.
The Downtown Movement Plan (DMP) is part of the larger Downtown Strategy project that is building on the success of Downtown Mississauga. The project will make sure that Downtown Mississauga continues to be a vibrant place to live, work, learn, be entertained, raise a family, and a place to choose to be.
The DMP will identify the transportation infrastructure and policies required to support and guide the continued development of Downtown Mississauga in two phases:
· Phase 1 (Summer 2020): Review what works and what doesn’t in Downtown Mississauga’s transportation system today
· Phase 2 (Fall 2020 – Winter 2021): Identify and evaluate ways to make getting to, from and around Downtown Mississauga easier via transit, walking, cycling or vehicle.
Throughout both phases there will be an opportunity for engagement. The public engagement portion of Phase 1 begins Monday, August 17, 2020 in the form of a virtual open house that is available 24-7, whenever it best fits into your schedule. Visit yoursay.mississauga.ca/downtown until Monday, September 21, 2020 to share input, submit questions, provide feedback, and click on the “Stay Informed” icon to join the mailing list.
