MISSISSAUGA, ON – Visual Arts Mississauga at Riverwood (VAM) is pleased to present a new opportunity for visual artists to showcase their creative works. VAM is currently accepting submissions from emerging and established artists for its upcoming exhibition ARCHITEXTURAL IDENTITIES at the Mississauga Central Library located at 301 Burnhamthorpe Road West in Mississauga. The exhibition will run from December 7, 2015 to January 30, 2016 providing selected artists with the chance to showcase their works for 50 days.
“We are thrilled to present new opportunities for artists to benefit from increased exposure,” says Executive Director Annis Karpenko. “The first exhibition we presented with the Mississauga Central Library, Art in Motion, celebrated the creative energy that surrounded the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. The exhibition gave 40 Ontario artists exposure to a larger audience. ARCHITEXTURAL IDENTITIES offers experienced and emerging artists the same chance to again, showcase their work to a broader audience.”
ARCHITEXTURAL IDENTITIES, invites Ontario artists to explore an assemblage of shape, text, texture, and experience that forms the essential character or condition related to who a person or what an object is.
